when I took the transom out it was in bad chase I think it was three-quarter inch thick if I take2 half inch pieces glue them together and fiberglass them should have no problem with that is that right

From the pic you posted it looks like lamination 2 half inch sheets would work. There's lots of posts on transom replacements. Sand surfaces well with 60 grit. Use resin on both surfaces and fiberglass mat between. When you clamp together don't squeeze all the resin out. Follow same procedures when you install. When you install make sure to fill all around the edge with resin. You want as much contact as possible with the hull, transfers the loads on the transom to the hull. After cutting your 2 pieces of 1/2" label them. I do "IN" for the inside surface and a "P & S" for port & starboard. Saves mistakes when trimming and installing.

A pic of the last transom I replaced, rated for 100hp. I laminated 2 pieces of 3/4" expanded PVC sheet and epoxy resin, then added the brace, also 3/4" expanded PVC Sheet.

Unfortunately, we do not allow Endura Craft boats on this site.
However, we'll make an exception this one time. Be sure to post lots of photos of your restoration so that it can be judged by the membership. If it's not up to our standards, we'll have to kick you out.
Gotcha!

talk to a guy and he said that soom boats where had this hony come put in with just soom foam and gassed over it but did no why stringers where out on top of it . SO i will have to cut everyting out and put new stringer in on the hull lay ply wood on it and fill it all in with foam . just going to take long than i hoped to get it fixed up

Re:hi this is my 1956 endora craft 10 years 7 months ago #92104

well i started to do the work on my boat . Took out all most all the fiber glass but still have 2 stringers left . the one in the back i left as to hold the shape of the boat till i put in the transom . all so found a hole in the bottom of the hull . my job slows me down . ???? if i sand down all the holes in the transom then put it in can i use a fill on them or should i fiberglass then all then gellcoat . not sure .

I like to use a piece of clear packing tape, on the outside, to cover holes in the transom. Fold over a corner of the tape to make it easier to get hold of to remove. After your new transom has set up remove the tape. You'll find the holes have filled with resin, flush to the outside surface. It's coming along, when you stop finding new things to fix it's all down hill.

??? the stringer down the center of the boat was 1 inch wide and 2 1/2 inches or 3 higth hard to tell it was drinched . but it was 10 feet long 1peace and made out of plywood and did not look spliced together . could i make 1 out of a 2x4 10feet just shape one side to fit in the the slot and leave the top part alone .the stringer going side to side i could cut to fit over it and glass them . will this work and keep the hull strong . ps i do want to put foam in under the deck

The true experts (not me) tell us that resin by itself doesn't have much strength, new-bedrock. You'll want to mix up some "peanut butter" (resin and filler) for the small patches. The surface you're patching needs to be roughed up for optimal adhesion, I used 36 grit flapper discs for this.

Anything more than a light scratch or crack and you're going to need more "structure" to the repair IMHO. Alternating layers of mat and cloth, or biax should be used. There are some great write ups in the research/restoration section on this procedure (some of the pictures are missing, but still a great resource), as well as some great threads here.

Anywhere you have delamination you'll want to grind back until you have some solid material to work with as well.

Just a few thoughts on the subject from a fellow "journeyman", hope they help? ;)
