TOPIC: 1960 Glasspar Marathon For Sale-$2,000.00

A 1960 Glasspar Marathon is for sale in Dothan, Ala. for $2,000.00 with a good trailer and a so so 1994 40 hp Merc.
Boat totally restored, new floor, seats, windshield, paint inside and out, etc.

Says he spent near $4,000.00 restoring this boat.

I talked to him today. Selling it due to need for money.

He has clear title, etc.

Jim, I also spoke with Titen, turns out I know his dad. I recently moved from Dothan to Jacksonville. My daughter's family is there, my former home is for sale there and I hope to be getting there soon. you say you are close, where are you?

I'm in Crawfordville, 12 miles south of Tallahassee.
I worked in Dothan for years at Houston Printing, east Main, and Florida Micro-film, U S 231 South. Sure miss Dobbs Bar-B-Que too!
I wonder if Lee Dobbs is still with us! Played a lot of softball against and with Lee!!

I was in Dothan '89-2011, nice place, miss it but enjoying the river city. Keep me in mind if you see any finned classic around, I would love to to find an affordable fireflite, redfish,or similiar fin boat. I got some pics of the 60 glasspar marathon from Titen that I'll post. Nice, but not enough fin for me!

Keen eye! Little Debbie is a 28' 1974 Marinette, all aluminum cruiser (made by Aluminum Cruisers, Inc.)started out as an "express" but converted to a 'sedan" by a previous owner. For me, she was a 6 month project that only took 2 years. figuring a way to get the engine out without disassembling the sedan was fun. the lady who ran the local carpet shop might have thought i was crazy, but the carpet pole on her fork lift was the perfect solution.

oh, and here she is completed, now in Jacksonville, but alas with a new owner. . . . and I am now looking at a G3.

sure I should have guess Marinette as well. Nice boat. I take it someone works for Little Debbie Snak Cakes??
