TOPIC: Glen-L , GATHERING 3 day rally , Chatt TENN

Very hot 94 degree summer weather was still here in West Chattanooga , TENN , Exit 161 of I-24 , at Hales Bar Marina , Floating Cabins & Campground . river site of prior Hales Bar DAM , now relocated further west on river , calm water , barge traffic , very scenic mtn gorge area .. Three day rally known this year as the G-4 GATHERING of wood kit plan cALIF CO . Glen - L . Small racers, tugs, large woodie runabouts , Missiles, v-8 speed jobs, sailboats, & river cruisers. Very nice people & organization .

Looks like a great show- I've always liked those Glen-L mini tugs, but have never seen one in person. Too bad I missed it this year!

Hopefully I'll be in town for the show on Oct. 30th, Don't have a CLUE what my schedule will be like, though!

Hi Split,

The boat in the second photo looks like one I saw at Lake Chatuge this summer. When you see it in person it's really incredible, the amount of work and inginuity in planning the layout. It's a true work of art.
