Oops I did it again. Another Thompson woody followed me home. This time it hitched a ride all the way from Port Angeles, WA to Peshtigo, WI - her birthplace!

Wow - impressive round trip back home!! Hope you did not have to pull this one through any snow storms. I love that wheel...we had that wheel in a 1966 Powercat. Enjoy your new "Christmas" present! Very nice find.

Awesome looking boat! I spend some time in Port Angeles for work and it is darn near as far west as you can get in Washington!
Those old ads are inspirational, I like how the shifter is bent back like the speed was just too much to stay straight.  the boat looks to be in excellent condition for its age and has a nice helm chair too. |

She is in pretty good condition.
See vintage photo of the same model with twin 1958 Johnson 35 HP outboard motors. That must be a photo from the south side of Madison, WI from those road signs.

Great find it's a great model. Makes you wonder why this style of cruiser fell out of favor, a perfect day boat.
Good to see it's in the right hands for the next round of life. Amazed how these great finds keep surfacing. Randy |

I cleaned the boat out. It was full of "stuff" and I power washed her today. Much better looking now. The photo is in front of her birthplace, the old Thompson Boat factory in Peshtigo.

Well that is certainly a cool picture...and the cleaned boat sure looks nice. Someday - I need to dig through generations of pictures and dig out the boat pictures...I have seen some interesting boats in those pictures. It would be cool to find old factory photos with one like yours and place both pictures in a frame together. I love that some boats do survive!

It was just mouse stuff!
