Friends,

One of my best buddies here in San Antonio suddenly has decided that he cannot live W/O one of the bigger (like 27ft or longer) SEA SKIFFS.
(He has the cash to buy most anything & has just sold a 55ft yawl.)

If that boat is anything like it is advertised, it would be a great deal. I wonder why it has been for sale for so long, and why the huge price drop? I think it definitely was a little on the high side when they started, but to drop it to a 3rd of the original price makes me kind of wonder. Just my opinion.

I have seen this boat up close. it's been on the hard in outside storage for about 3 years. never seen on the water but that doesn't mean it's not been there. it is very nice BUT keep in mind ... I looked with an admiring eye not a buyers eye. I would be happy to go look with a buyers eye for someone truly interested since it's about 3 miles from the marina I keep my cruiser in. it's been for sale forever but not well advertised and slip space is extremely expensive to keep a boat you never use. I think they just want rid of it rather than let it sit on dry land and rot away.

went yesterday but had limited access as the facility was closed so I didn't feel comfortable boarding the boat but...
its been moved to under roof storage and all looks good except a loose trim piece on the transom and a couple of what appear to be good solid repairs in the transom on either side of the scuppers. this is both scuppers. looked close at all the exterior lap and no paint cracks or signs of shrinkage.. appears to be a good solid old boat but couldn't verify anything inside or motor wise.
trim piece

scupper repair

canvas may have shrunk a little but was left open to vent

all I could see of the interior

overall in it's enclosure

I would say worth a call and a survey from what I could see externally
all ramps are open on the lake and temps good for seatrial right now
