Now If I could find some new ones. Anyone know of a supplier for this? It's a shame they were painted over cause they weren't faded.

I've used these guys before Jim, they do great work.

If they don't have the exact one you need, Dario can make one up from a decent photo or something similar. Just a thought..... ;)

Thanks Mark, They look like they would be good to check with. If I knew what all the writing had been on it,that would be great but it was too far gone. There was two, but the other was worse than this one. If anyone has a better pic, It would be greatly appreciated.jim

Jim, I restored my '56 model 214 Gator trailer with the round tubular frame. Where are these decals or just one decal located on the trailer exactly? I like the idea of having these decals made. Thanks.

There were two decals. The one closest to the angle iron, I'm not sure what it was. If you want to go in on some decals Eduardo,I'd be interested later.Might be cheaper to have more decals made up at a time.I wished I had a better pic of the writing on the decal. I'm going to go red on my winch too. Mine originally was black as were my wheels, but I don't do black wheels lol . Your trailer looks great. jim

It will be interesting when I get to painting mine if it had the same decals. Its the same style. Suposed to be a 1958 acording to the papers.

I've got that graphic- I've got an older gator like that I'll be redoing-

I can have the decal printed as a sticker, Using my Zazzle account... They are pretty good repros, That's how I did them on my '59 gator. If anyone is interested, Let me know- I think they end up being like $6-$8 each.

Thanks Jim. I went with the traditional Gator red wheels on mine. Love the yellow and red combo. My winch cosmetically didn't look good. Also had to cleanup and reweld the winch base. I everything powdercoated but instead of a glossy finish like what I did on the wheels, I went with a hammer finish on the winch. It's more durable and doesn't easily mar. Since we're talking Gator trailers, I'll start a thread on mine. Don't want to hijack yours.

BTW: yours is a little different. The "U" part of your frame is welded to the tongue where mine is not.

Could you measure the width and hieght of the original decal please? Thanks.

Stashm2, at first I thought mine was a '58 too, but when I was restoring mine, I saw 1956 214 stamped on the frame. If you have the solid winch stand, I believe yours is a '58.

Sorry Eduardo, I've already blasted the frame. It measured approximately 3 1/8 " long .I didn't measure the height, but you can look at Andrew's decal pics and get an idea on the height. Seems like mine were close to 2 1/2" tall.

I have the same weird Flat bar winch stand that you do. So whatever that make it.. I keep meaning to Re-paint mine as its rather worn looking. Great trailer though!

I use it to grab other boats allt he time, This ia a Seamaid 14' the best pic I have of the trailer unforunately.

I'm not sure how many are on mine- I haven't stripped it yet- Still looks like this-

I'll have to do some touch up on the decal, I have a High- resolution image that I'm working from...

I don't like this guy already. He is using MY photos and image files on his site-

This is MY original photo-

VERY sorry about that Andrew, I had no idea! I may still have his local contact info if you'd like it, he's in Lawrenceville (north-east of ATL) if memory serves me correctly. I certainly will NOT refer to him for any future business.
