TOPIC: Mastercraft lift and load

Mastercraft lift and load 13 years 1 month ago #46547

I have what I believe is a Mastercraft lift and load trailer. I have completely dissambeled it and welded and ground off the old poorly done repairs. I'm almost complete with the reassembley, and wondering if there should be some latch to keep the rear folding half up when you don't need it to drop down. I used it to pick a boat up off the grass and it works well. droped the boat back down real easy. but when no boat is on it the rear droops to the ground. It had a bungie strap on it when I bought it. and I put the bungie back on so I came move the trailer with out a boat on it.

It does look like a well built trailer. I know nothing to help you.

I suspect the bungie was an afterthought that came about because of the design. Ie, if it drags and you try to back up, it will dig into the road. I have the same issue with some bunk boards. So I also put bungie cords on them to keep them from hitting the ground.
