TOPIC: Help ID a trailer

Help ID a trailer 13 years 8 months ago #27479

I just bought a duo x16. The trailer on the otherhand I have no clue what make it is. It is very rusty but salvagable, it did make a 120 mile trip home with no problem. I plan on restoring it and I would like to know the make so I can get the right decals for it. The trailer is very cool looking and I am very excited to bring her back to life.

I have one just like that. I really like it but am not sure what kind it is! I made the tailights for the white one.!

I think the tail lights mounted on the fenders is just about the coolest thing I have ever seen. As soon as you see that it just screams vintage.

Thanks guys! I am getting ready to start on a Howie! I have a few other projects to complete first. I purchased a few totaled boats from an insurance co. and I am fixing them up first for our grandkids! When they are done, I will begin working on the Howie. I will keep you guys posted!!

Hi,
Yes, you both have a Moody from Mississippi. They produced a large number of trailers during the '60s and '70s.

Yup, I have heard of Moody boat trailers. I have seen ads in old boating magazines. I do not have any literature.
