TOPIC: Dunbar Kapple trailer

Dunbar Kapple trailer 14 years 8 months ago #1574

Does anyone have any info on this type of trailer? I just picked one up with a 1957 Speed Queen 14' Centerdeck and it is a rather unique design. It pulled down the road and cornered great! Just wondering if I should keep them together or put the boat on a Holsclaw that I have and sell the Dunbar. Thanks in advance.

I would very much like to see photos too, when you have the chance.

Dunbar Kapple, Inc. of Geneva, Illinois made the "Trailcar" brand boat trailers.

Somewhere along the line Trailcar must have been taken over by John Sterling Corporation of Richmond, Illinois. I have one of these trailers, circa 1960, a beautiful dual axel job.

I have 1964 and 1966 brochures for Trailer boat trailers (John Sterling Corporation). I have an earlier one for the Dunbar Kapple, Inc. version.
