TOPIC: Trailer brand and year ??

Trailer brand and year ?? 2 years 3 months ago #145950

Does anyone recognize the brand and approximate year of this dual axle boat trailer? There are NO identifying marks or decals or plates or etched numbers.... It was under a 1964 Thompson of Peshtigo 20 ft. Off-Shore wooden lapstrake I/O boat

That's' a serious heavy duty rig.
The last boat I had was a Starcraft and it had a Spartan trailer with that type of bent tubing and hardware. Did have a tendancey to rust from the inside since there were no drain holes in the hollows.
Might search Spartan and see what comes up.

Judging by the tilt mechanism and twin coil over axles, that appears to be a Holsclaw trailer.

The fenders likely are not original.

There should be indefitcation plates on it.

Quick check of the Fiberglassics library for Holsclaw brochures, it's likely to be a W575 or W675.
The bunks appear perhaps modfiied. Heavy duty....

There is a Holsclaw following and that appears to be pretty rare.

The bunks appear perhaps modfiied. Electric winch was a option. Heavy duty....
