Tearing into another Ski Nautique, 1985. So far, we have the interior stripped out all the way to the bottom and the 351W R/R engine built, ready and waiting. She's got the GT heads, a performance cam and a lot of bolt-on goodies that should bring her up to 300+ HP.

I can remember when these were the bad boys of ski boats around the lake. Now there are all kinds of crazy looking wake boats out there. I like the old school look of the 'tique. Should change the name to Ski Antique. Lol.

This will be another great thread. Any "before" pics? Ya gotta be torn apart on the motor. Deep in your subconscious you know you want to put a Chev small block in there. I used to have a Windsor 400 in an old '72 country squire. Strong running but a b&%^$&*))(* to keep tuned up.

I keep a Restoration Photo Log on every boat we do. They're all listed in the left hand column of my website: NautilusRestorations.com Here's what I've posted so far on this latest SN: www.nautilusrestorations.com/1985CCSkiNautique.html

Actually, I've been warming up to these reverse rotation Ford 351Ws. I've done so many now that I "get it." Did you notice how perfectly the GM 1-wire alternator bolted up? I gave up on external voltage regulators long ago.
