I'm thinking about getting a aristo 19 with a 140 hp mercruiser. Anyone here had any experience with this boat/motor combo?

I don't have any experience with them, but I have always wanted one. I just think the sliding top is the coolest. I would think the 140 merc would be a good motor and I am sure there are lots of parts motors out there if you do have a problem. Just my two cents.

Jim L,

The Mercruiser 140 is an industrial engine, which has the reputation as essentially "bulletproof", with a reputation (at least in TX waters) as second in toughness to the 6-cylinder 160HP Mercruiser.

yours, satx

I'm thinking on this one. Of course it needs a little TLC (everything I get needs that LOL), but from what I've seen in the pics and talked to the owner, I believe it would make a great boat. And I'm really liking the blue hull,a little different.

Thanks Mark,I was wanting a dorsett, but none are within reach for me. So I'm shifting gears now. I'm going to look at this boat if he don't sell it before I can get there. I know it needs the windshield and rear seat covers, but you can still get that from Aristo craft. AFAIK you could a while back anyway.

Hi Jim did you buy the 19? I know a guy in Greenville SC he had 2 19's and one had a windshield He showed it to me when I was there in January while looking for the top and windshield for my 17. The one you gave me the frame for. Let me know if you need his info. Just e-mail me
