TOPIC: 1971 MG15 Crestliner (1 yr. production)

1971 MG15 Crestliner (1 yr. production) 12 years 9 months ago #57608

I purchased this just about 2 weeks ago March 5, and drove to New London, WI from Richmond to pick it up. 99.5% original, correct 1971 85 hp Evinrude Electric-shift and a Spartan Tilt Trailer.
All chrome is perfect, interior is about an 8-9 condition with 10 being perfect. It's going for a full restore this winter but for now the wife, daughter and I will be enjoying some skiing with it this summer.
I'll add more photos this weekend.

GOOD looking Crestliner Lizard, nice find. Enjoy it as is if the structure is sturdy, they're only original once! Looking forward to seeing more pics. ;)

Interior shot with the seats lifted up. Can't believe that the PO used Liquid Nails to stick that pole on the floor and THEN he also Liquid Nailed it to the side of the seat also. I'll be trying to remove it without causing any damage to the vinyl seat covers.

Hey, nice find! I see you are right around the corner from me. Do you ski on the Upper James? I might see you there.

I have 2 older Crestliners, both in need of some work. But I'll be out this summer.

There are a few other locals and we've been trying to get together.

Hello, World!!

Ken,
This will be the first time in VA I've gone water skiing, was planning on skiing on the lower James down around Deep Bottom. Not too sure about boating on the upper James, I know there's rocks up there from taking my canoe down it many times. I'd rather not risk this boat up there.
Let me know when you all decide to get together and I'll see if I can't make it.
