Rescued this one days before it was headed to the dump, I just couldn't sit back and watch her go to the grave! ;) Needs a lot of work, but basically a sound hull.... Besides, it will give me something to do out in the garage this winter. :P

Then again, I think I really like this one better? Went to look at the 135HP Johnson, ended up bringing the whole rig home. I'm in so much trouble with the war dept. now!

I think it was a wise choice Mark. And you have a parts boat too. Win-win-lose (with the war dept.) 2 outta 3 ain't bad. The new one looks sleeker without the bow rail.

Mark I think I like the Futura better too, out neighbor had an orange one when I was a kid and I always thought it was cool looking :). I thought the Futura was only rated for 100hp, it must really fly with a 135hp.

Mark, put her name on the transom when you're finished. Problem solved until the next one and then just keep adding I II III IV etc.

Mark,IMHO the second boat is a better looking boat. I like the looks of a closed bow on those Glastrons.Plus it seems to be more intact.jim

I was going to say that deep vee on the first one was going to take a lot of power to plane, then boom you got a better deal. I never have cared for bow riders. The big hole makes for a lot of windage and slows you down. And of course everyone wants to sit up front and gets annoyed when you make them move to trim the boat so you can plane at a non fuel guzzling speed. So I concur the 2nd one is the way to go.

I submit that we all should hope to never know which is going to be the "final" project. :)
