Hello everyone,
Let me say that everything I know about boats is what I have learned over the past month or so researching different boats for sale. Much of what I learned came from here. Maybe because I kept shopping for cheap deals which turn out to be older boats. Anyway I bit the bullet and dove in. I bought a 71 Arrow Glass Cheetah with a Merc 1250 IL6. The "story" on the motor is that it was rebuilt and only ran about 15 hours before being parked for the last 5-6 years. Turns out the switchbox is testing bad but the compression is all even at 95. So I'm replacing it with the cdi switchbox/coil combo unit. Does anyone have any good experiences with these units?
