I propose an outboard category with subs for Mercury, OMC, Chrysler (my fav :), and so on. It would be consistent with the I/O category. It follows then, to move the Homelite category to a sub of the Outboard section.

There is much support for newish motors (younger than 20 years) on other sites. And support for older motors (early '50s and back) on the AOMCI site. So I will bet ya this would become the place for '50s '60s '70s and even '80s motors. Which is sorta a 'black hole' of support now. Most dealer shops wont touch them, just laugh at you for trying to run that "junk". But what you want is this 3000$ wizzer that have on the rack. I am sure we have a ton of collective experience on here.

I volunteer to admin the Chrysler section. :cheer:

I would also make sense to have two subs in an Inboard category, I/O and Direct/V Drive

Maybe i don't understand, but isn't that already here?

There's the Merc outpost, JEGO's place, Homelite & Bearcat, and Stern Drives...

I can run it by the Board and see if we could add a "Chrysler Corner" or something like that for the fans of the brand?

I think thats a pretty good idea..(as I have a 88 125 Force, and lots knowledge gained over the years) But just add a Chrysler/Force category and leave whats here the way it is.

MarkS,

I most heartily agree with a Chrysler/Force section AND (perhaps) a "OTHER MAKES" section.

ALSO, WHO do I ask to ADD another boat-builder to the library?
(As you may know, I'm a fan of "TX-built" boats & I found yet another builder today: SPORTS-boats of Ft Worth, whose "brand-name", for at least some of their boats, was TOP TENNER.)

I am also puzzled. I can understand adding a Chrysler/Force page, but aren't most of the others already there?

Yes they're all there but Chrysler, we could add the Chrysler section for those folks, it makes sense.

I posted the proposal in The Board Room, will drop Ken a note to get his input. ;)

SATX - If you'll post some of the info in the "Library Additions" section, I'll see if one of the editors can add the brand for you. (I would be glad to do it, but unfortunately my skills are not up to that level!)

I'm with Robby on this one. Adding a Chrysler/Force forum would be helpful but why rearrange the stuff that's already there. I'm an old dog and don't respond well to learning new tricks...:)

I think adding a Chrysler/Force engine category is a good idea. What about "Other Engines" that don't fit into any of the above categories?

Ok, the members have spoken! We added two new forums: Chrysler/Force Engines and Other Outboards. Is there anyone who would like to moderate these two new forums to look for spammers, inappropriate posts, etc.? Our existing moderators are checking so many forums it is helpful to spread the load. Any volunteers?
