Ha! good luck getting that kind of money. I paid $250 for one in similar condition two years ago.

YEP. - I know where several vintage FG boats (on usable trailers) are (within 50 miles) for 200.oo or (OFTEN MUCH) less.
(IF I had any place to put it and a suitable/powerful-enough "tow-vehicle", I would go get a 19ft SternCraft BALBOA on a tandem trailer, with GOOD 6-cylinder 165HP Mercruiser for 150.oo, that's REALLY NICE.)

yep...I think $1200 is a lot also....that would be a decent place to start on craigslist as if you listed it for $50 half the people that call would still try to jew you down...but on ebay he probly wont get any bids....on the other hand, it has a motor, some parts there and maybe could run, has a trailer, and is a fined boat with some following from the late 50's/early 60's....if these old fined boats aren't worth any more than a rotted down junker from the early 70's we would be rather silly to even want one wouldn't we....just my openion...john
