TOPIC: 1972 Sea King (Chrysler) 35HP Parts Needed

1972 Sea King (Chrysler) 35HP Parts Needed 3 years 2 months ago #145356

*UPDATE 2021NOV01: I've now found all the parts I need except the handle insert for the engine cover.*

Hey, folks! I have a 1972 Sea King (presumably made by Chrysler) 35 HP outboard. Previous owner abandoned it mid-project but it is the motor that came with my '72 14-footer so I'd like to get it back up and running. I'm having a heck of a time sourcing parts so figured I'd see if anyone here could offer some insight into either readily available aftermarket parts or a source for N.O.S. parts.

What I need:
Starter and starter bracket - I found an aftermarket starter online that claims to match but the reviews on it say it doesn't.
Two ignition coils with condensers
One stator plate coil mount

Top cover recessed handle insert (the actual plastic handle insert in the lid)

I appreciate any suggestions for parts sourcing. I've tried the usual suspects - eBay, Amazon, Craig's List, Marketplace, etc - but either I'm up against misspelled items that ghost the search feature or there just isn't much out there.

Thanks a bunch!
