TOPIC: Propulsion research p300 jet troller

Propulsion research p300 jet troller 8 years 9 months ago #111209

I picked up an old p300 jet drive yesterday in a package deal. It runs quite well and I'm intrigued by the little bugger. Were they any good? Any place to find parts for them? I know it's probably 50% efficiency but it's old, cool and works. Planning a full resto in my basement this winter. Appears the only thing I'm missing is the cover.

Does anyone know if the cover is the same as any other old Clintons?

Peter Hunn's "The Old Outboard Book" states these were similar to the usual Clinton outboard motors, only the lower unit was built by Propulsion Research, Inc. I would think any Clinton parts should fit. Try the Antique Outboard Motor Club for more info: www.aomci.org
