Not me but one of my fellow employees at work does. He gets his oil from the restaurant across the street, it's high quality, not alot of crud in it. He strains it in old bluejeans pants legs sewed up.

Uses some chemicals, lye maybe, ends up costing him about $1/gallon.
Don't know how much time he spends on it, probably not much as he has "refined" the process.
