NICE!! It doesn't look like you will be " roughing it ". It is a great way to really enjoy the time with your family.

thanks bill, yep we used to camp in a tent then a 1960's scotty that was 25 years old, then a 24 foot coachman, that started to go bad with soft floors, and now this.
and thats in a 33 year span.

it is great to go with families that are close like ours. john

john-gibson,

OK, John, I'll bite. - HOW big is that beast?
40 foot x 12 foot with the pull-out extended?

fwiw, 25 years ago I had a 33 foot RV & yours LOOKS a LOT bigger than mine.

satx, the box is 31'6" the total with the tounge is 33'8",it weighs 7086 lbs and gross weight is 9098,my truck is a dodge 2500 with a 5.7 hemi and 410 rear gears.its SUPPOSED to be able to tow 11,000 lbs.
and yeah its about 12 foot wide with the tip out.
what did you pull yours with satx?
by the way its in my parking area now,i had to back it all the way up my driveway,i used to be able to turn my 24 footer around in my parking area but not this thing, lol.
im guessing with the truck(a quad cab long bed)that im about 54 or 56 feet long.john

Re:our new (used)camper 11 years 8 months ago #75168

john-gibson,

LOOKS BIGGER, when compared to the PU.

My PROWLER 34 weighed about 8,700 pounds, gross but not including the diesel-powered generator that was another @500 pounds. - In those long-ago days/DAZE, I was a "full-timer" & had a one-ton LEHMAN-CENTURIAN diesel 3-door truck built to pull it.
(FWIE, a L-C looks like the front third of a Ford "snub-nose" van, with a "pick-up bed")
(My chow-chow bitch, my Siamese cat & I visited 30+ states over a 5-year period.)

Hi John,
You should hook a boat to the back of that ? That way the truck can be in one zip code and the boat in another !!!!

Re:our new (used)camper 11 years 8 months ago #75212

john-gibson,

It WAS great fun. I might still be a NOMAD except that the ARNGUS called me back to AD & promptly sent me overseas to work for the OAS in South America to train "foreign troops" as UN Peacekeepers for Gaza.

In those long-ago RVing DAZE, going to another of the remaining states (less HI, of course) was often precipitated by speaking to DIANA & DELILAH and remarking, "Say girls, we've never slept in _______ before. Best we go attend to that".- Like the birds, we flew south in winter & summered up north.
(I got to where that I could "Close-up, unplug, stow, hook-up, coffee-up & drive away" in about 20-30 minutes.- Practice makes perfect.)
