There is a business here in Grangeville, Idaho called Anderson Aeromotive that refurbishes these and others. They do alot of them.
And yes, this is one impressive, huge, piston engine.
They have the test truck here where they do the runup. There is no guessing as to what is running when they fire these up. They will not let you get close, and good thing.

want a mind blower...the -R- stands for radial and the 4360 in it's name, is simply the horsepower it produces. don't remember the exact fuel consumption numbers something like 90 gallons an hour.

oops that was displacement..4360, 195 gallons of fuel an hour with a 3500 horse power output on the non turbo charged..3800 with the turbo..2 spark plugs per it's seven pistons, and 1 carburetor.

It sounds as though you have been around these motors.
I know very little about any radials except that they are impressive engines. Engineering marvels actually.

need to correct something I screwed up...

2 spark plugs per it's 4 different "banks" seven pistons, and 1 carburetor, I can't imagine what that one carb that feeds 28 cylinders looks like.
