TOPIC: Just a little update

As many of you know I've been battling kidney cancer since 2014. We seem to have it in check for the time being, just one lonely "node" showing up on my right upper lobe of the lung. Yes, kidney cancer is one of the slowest spreading cancers, but does spread to other parts of the body. So far I've lost both kidneys (one is removed, the other dormant), and part of the lower lobe of my left lung. It seems chemotherapy and radiation are not an option with this stuff, they just have to go in and cut out whatever the find in the quarterly blood tests and CT scans.

The straw that broke the camels back was loosing my wife of 27 years to lung cancer in Jan. 2017. It pretty much left me broken inside and unfit company for anybody. I'm slowly trying to climb out of the shell, hope y'all don't mind if I sit in and listen for a while trying to get caught back up with what's been going on.

Hey Mark! Great to have you back but I'm so sorry to hear about all the terrible problems you have been having. Reading about the loss of your wife was especially upsetting. I sincerely hope that life is kinder to you in the coming years. My wife just finished two years of treatment for breast cancer and other serious complications. Thankfully, we seem to have everything under control.

I found that leaning on family and friends helped Mom when loosing Dad decades ago... and those true friends and family are still all around her keeping her going and still boating and fishing at 82 years old. Seems we could always count on our boating community for support. You, Sir have my respect for your courage and my families prayers to yours. Steady the course onward.

Mark, glad your back on here. As I said in the past e-mail so very sorry for your loss and always in our prayers. Hang in there buddy and keep up with us, it'll keep your mind off of things.
