Buddy of mine recently acquired a 1962 Craig Kitty Kat with twin 700 Mercs . Boat hadn't been used in 6 years or so. So he brought her down for a thorough going over. After new water & fuel pumps & a carb & distributor cleaning & set up we took her for a shake down cruise the other day. She performed well I had thought it would be a bit faster , could only get 38 mph. gps. out of her. But boy do those twin sound great humming across the lake at about 5000 rpm. Only guessing on that no tachs in her yet. First time I had ever run twins & it was a thoroughly enjoyable sound , just beautiful music to my ears.

Hi Tim. A great big thanks to you and other people on this forum who keep these old Merc's alive. Although boating season is over in the Northeast, I still dream of the throaty roar of a classic merc on the back of my CV-16. Thanks for the parts that you sent to me. The motor still runs great and I love flying around the lake with this old Merc. I attached a picture. Matt M
