TOPIC: '59 Mark35A - Prop

'59 Mark35A - Prop 11 years 2 weeks ago #86029

I have a Michigan Prop for my '59 Mark35A: "AMC 578 S" 10" dia/10" pitch/3 blade/11 spline/bronze

On home built wood hull 14'-4"/775 lb. boat I ran 29/30 MPH @ 5,200 RPM - but vibration present.

Anyone know if this has a rubber hub because it looks like it's just 2 pieces of solid bronze pressed together, and the 2 pieces appear to NOT be concentric/centered with respect to each other. Any info appreciated.

By the by, ran a similar prop but with a cupped 9" pitch and lost 1 MPH but gained a lot of oomph & 600 RPM

Have a prop I don't need if anyone is interested, 103/4" dia./13" pitch/11 spline/aluminum

Thanx
