On my '77 115 I just have a tee at the point on the block where 50's flash has the fittings on his. One side goes to the gauge, the other to the "pee hole". It doesn't stick out as far because he has an extra fitting for the temp gauge. I figure as long as I have pressure,I don't need to worry about the temp.

Thanks robinr01 Wish I could. The powerhead is in Key Largo, FL at Chris Carson's getting the "special" overhaul. It;s just a "T" in the pee hose hole.
