TOPIC: wet plugs, compression #'s

wet plugs, compression #'s 11 years 4 weeks ago #83317

In the process of tuning up the 1000. Compression numbers on a cold engine with all plugs out were as follows
#1 118
#2 119
#3 120
#4 119
#5 120
#6 120
I am happy they are so close across the board but how to they rate as far as far as #'s (moderate? too low? Fabulous?)

Also - all the plugs looked the same after a season of use. Oily Wet. Should they not be dry and ashy gray?

surface gap plugs are flat no side electrode and always look black and wet.unlike regular plugs that are dry and tan.

well unfortunatley thse are regular plugs that have the electrode coming from the side and are proud of the surface of the plug.

My assumption is that I am running too rich.
