Thanks Mark.
I have spark and compression, but that is as far as I got into it for now.
It is stuck in forward gear, so I soaked it down good and walked away:)

Sharp looking little motor you picked up there Neil. I have seen a couple of them around here but they always ask too much for them. Skip.

shift problem is most likely the cam for the reverse locks . easily seen it is brass 1/2 way down under the swivel bracket. here is my mark 25 L only 300 made.

shift problem is the reverse lock brass cams under the swivel bracket or to much throttle.

Thanks Dave.
I checked out the top of the shifter where the throttle interlocks and it is in the shift position. I will look into the cams next.
What am I missing here to cover the hole and attach with the bottom screw?
I haven't found a good picture of what is supposed to be here.

If you have one, Dave, I would buy it from you if it is for sale.
