TOPIC: what size mercury outboard came on it ?

what size mercury outboard came on it ? 11 years 2 months ago #82569

Could any one help me find out what mercury outboard came with a 1958 14' beeline boat. Would like to find out what gauges and controls came on this so I can see what I'm missing on this boat. thanks for your help!!

I do not know for sure but I am sure they had optional motors. Being a 14 foot I would say anything from a Mark 58 down to a Mark 25 would be possible.

I agree but a MK75 wouldn't be too big either and better for skiing. The G3's (which I have) I saw early on had lots of OMC's in the 25-45hp range, lots of 35's, guess cause they were cheaper and I wasn't living in a high class town. My g3 started it life with a 35 rude then got a upgrade in 1965 with a '65/650 65hp and i think its perfect size on the 13'-7" boat....from what i've heard on forums usually the dealer installed the motor to the buyers liking...
