I got my mark 35a running great at idle and wot but...after a run around the lake i try to idle and it wants to stall out unless i give it more throttle and it's hard to start after the wot run too. I'm leaning towards carb adjustment but was curious if any of you have run across this and what the problem most likely is.

Yeah, sounds like a carb adjustment may be in order. You'll need to adjust the idle mixture screws on each carb for smoothest idle and may need to leave them a bit on the rich side for best hole shot.

adjut it in gear and warmed up. back out till it runs rough then very slowly turn in till it runs rough then back out 1/2 to 3/4 of a turn. do on both carbs a few times. if it boggs on take off back out 1/8 at a time. till satisfied.

Here's an odd problem maybe someone here might have an answer to.
I get the motor to idle great when not in gear but when i put it in forward it stalls. I set idle screw for higher idle and it starts and i'm able to adjust carbs at a normal rpm. But when i put it back it neutral it revs quite high (way to high to put in gear). Any thoughts? Maybe something binding when putting in gear causing the motor to labor and stall???

I think Dave and Ed are right on. I had the same problem on my 650, then I richened up the mixture a little on both carbs, adjusting while idling in gear. It may idle a little rougher but no more stalling when I put it in gear.

When i get it running its best in gear at an idle then take it out of gear it idles high enough i won't put back in gear because i think it might damage it.

I'll try to get a video of it tomorrow
