TOPIC: 1976 40hp ignition

hi, i have a 40hp ser# 4365352 that has spark on only one cylinder. so far the only thing i did was swap the green coil wires coming from the switchbox and i got spark on the other cylinder so i know the coils are ok. My question is this, i have a switchbox #339 7452 from a 25hp from the same time period, can that be used on the 40hp. The 40hp switchbox is #332-4911. Looking at the wiring diagrams the ignition systems seem similar although the color coding is different.
