My 64 Merc 65 hp came to me with Champion J6C spark plugs. They are gapped at .025. Does that plug number sound OK for that motor? It starts and runs OK but I'd like to go with a recommended plug.

That plug is what I run in all my magneto driven Mercs... I'd up the gap to .030, though...
