hey guys, I am having a starter Tsunami; I have 4 Mercs 55-55A and not a starter between them.
I have one at a shop that says they can't find parts and one that needs to go to the shop. That is if I can find somebody in Seattle that can work on one.
the other two don't have them at all and I don't know of one for less than 3 bills.
come back.
Thanks

Hey Headly,
Can you give me the number off of either of the starters? Sometimes I can go by exact application, but it's usually more accurate to get the number off the original unit. I can check it out Monday at work, probably can "hook you up"! (Parts or replacement unit, or both)

Hello,
We have a good used starter motor, and we should have access to a new replacement also. The flywheel's ring gear tooth count is important to know (there are three versions) to insure a correct fit.
As Mark mentions, parts for a starter are best answered with the starter number available. Check for a plate attached to the starter housing.

Regards, Joe.
