TOPIC: Reverse lockout "thingy" - remove it?

Reverse lockout "thingy" - remove it? 12 years 4 months ago #61916

She's starting to look like a motor again. Test fitted the lower and tested the shift mechanism from the levers from the pan. So far so good

Next question; inside the mid section, in front of the shift shaft, there is a lever of sorts that is part of the reverse lock mechanism (which I think I have incorrectly been referring to as the reverse "lock out"). This shot is looking 'up' into the mid section.

I don't believe I need to worry about removing this lever. It will still rise and fall with shifting (by action of the reverse locking cams), but it shouldn't jam anything (I did re-install the white nylon spacer that goes under it).
