TOPIC: Tough fittings!

Tough fittings! 12 years 7 months ago #58472

I know these are 7/16, but what I don't know is how to remove them! Cut the hose off and get them with a socket maybe? How else would one get these babies out?

Thanks for any help.

Frank

Frank,
No experience with it yet but I'm thinking it probably had a special wrench. I'd probably buy a cheapy open end wrench and grind the sides down to clear it enough to loosen then just spin it out using the hose. That's if I was trying to save the hose of course. If not then yeah probably cut off close and use a socket.

Might try a tubing wrench, or I think they're also called a "flare nut wrench" Frank.

I was going to mention that one too but wasn't sure if the side walls were going to be just as thick , but looks like they won't.
