On my Mark 58 I trying to remove the lower unit from the clamp and swivel bracket. I have removed the nuts from the back of the lower rubber mount and from the inside of the top yoke assembly. I also have removed the nut, rubber washer and spacer. The lower unit will not slide off of the clamp and swivel bracket. It seems to hangs up on the upper mount. Any suggestions? Do I need to also remove the upper mount covers?
I have a copy of a mercury manual but I am missing all the pages on the disassembly and assembly for the Dyna-Float suspension.

the mounts on the top do not have to be removed just the 5/8 nuts under the rubber cap. most likely it is rusted tight to the mount. good luck.

Thanks. It now starts to come off but stops maybe at the threads. Maybe I need to just pull harder to get past the threads. The nut, spacer and washer were rusty.
