TOPIC: PTT wiring

PTT wiring 13 years 9 months ago #57436

Hooking up my PTT with dual solenoids ...one for up, one for down. It's a circa mid 80's Unit I think - see picture with my '63 midsection mounted to it.

My question; What gauge wires to use. I was going to use 14 gauge for the trim switch to the solenoids, and 6 gauge from the battery to the PTT motor cables. The PTT cables look to be much lighter guage than 6, but 6 was the lightest gauge at pep boys.

these are the PTT cables
