TOPIC: Dyna Float (Lower Mount) Installation

Starting the reassembly of the 1000.

Rebuilt the motor stand that I've been using for sometime so that it leans back at the same angle as the transom of the boat, so that the motor can be oriented straight up (vs pitched forward when in the full down position when the stand was straight). That was a nice hour distraction from the day's responsibilities.

So the first thing to go back on is the mid section.

The question: Is there anything I need to do to the lower mount assembly before installing it? Lubricate the entire thing with fogging oil or some such?

yes lube with grease . you may have to remove at a latter date. lube every thing including bolts and nuts.

I figured as much. Any heavy greese or do I need a Marine greese (just what is the difference between Marine greese and standard heavy greese)?

Never mind. Found my big ol' tube of Mercury Multi-Purpose Marine Greese
