TOPIC: another merc 500

another merc 500 13 years 1 week ago #50162

Well after some skilled negotiations I was able to convince my wife that it would be ok to bring home another outboard :) Of coarse this means even more added to the honey do list but its worth it.
Its a 1965 merc 500 that runs but needs a new starter. I got a good set of controls with it which now starts with a screw driver instead of a key. The guy also threw in an old minnkota trolling motor that works, for good measure. All for just $200 a good deal in my eyes.
The bonus was this early merc 500 face plate the guy threw in just because. I don't need it but it is cool looking
