Mark 30 or 55 direct drive inboard FrankenRig

I found this very interesting home made 3 point hydro Craigslist ad and decided to post it here for those that dont frequent the for sale items & may miss this FrankenRig
appears to be a MK30 or 55 direct drive thought you guys would enjoy it, photos suck but I have asked for better pics, more to come from the seller maybe tomorrow

Hydro Boat Wooden Classic - $1500 Seattle

seattle.craigslist.org/est/boa/2636451647.html

This is a very unusual hydro boat. It was built 60 years ago by the sons of the woman who owned the property.
It is 5' wide by 7' long. It is a 3 point boat.
Has a four cylinder engine (possibly an outboard mercury - (see picture)
Built from beautiful marine mahogony and fiinished with brass anchor nails.
Single person. Throttle release handle.
As mentioned, it is extremely unusual. Not sure if price is low or high... so entertaining offers too.
Give a call.

May be an H powerhead, or at least a mix of parts, as the flywheel is just the disc as found on the Mark 30H & 55H. Hard to tell from the pics as to whether it has the large or small carbs. They'd have to be either replaced with something else or reconfigured as the floats wouldn't work horizontally. Figures that the side of the block facing the hull is not visible - that would tell the story, too (Thunderbolt or Turbo Four on the side of the block).

It looks like the carbs have been moved out on exstensions and turned 90 Degrees in the top pic. I dont know would that effect their performance at all?

Neat little setup though!

When you get better pictures can you post them I think it would be an neat project to try on something. aside from changing the carb orientation is there anything else that would need to be changed affecting oiling? and the like?
