tony, after you post your first pic...click submit. then click edit on that new post...then browse for another pic and click submit again. its the only way to post multiple pics. just keep editing after each pic is submitted. ron

Give it a good check out, clean it up and switch engines.. put this on the old g3 !!! And stick the 78 engine on my Glasstron jetflight !!

nice!! think about what it would be like to have a Merc 1000 or Merc 1150 on your Jetflight.
I thought the last year of the Jetflight hull was in 1971 as the GT-143. |

Mine is a 1970 .. There is a Red stripe Merc 100 hp right around the corner from me . I was going to buy it . It has been sitting on the boat for at least 5- years, I decided to go with the smaller HP You guys are gonna kill me with these huge engines !!

Correction.. My wife is gonna kill me
 .. she wants to go down to 40- 50 Hp  ... I told her naaa .... I need more hp to pull me up on a slalom ski 45 hp won't get me out of the water !! "Yeah" Thats it ! |

Well I got the other engine it's a 65 hp, 5 hp less then whats on it now ... We put the boat in the water tonight.... After 16 years of restoration , it looks good sitting in the water .. Now the engine wouldn't go full throttle ,It starting surging, it sounded like it wanted to go ,then it stalled once,I had to idle it back in . Now back to the drawing board.

what motor failed the 1964 Merc 650?? mag distrib so you have spark since it runs. Got to be dirty carbs or weak fuel pump.

It was the 1978 70 hp 3 cylinder Merc.. I changed the fuel filter,and even checked the floats in the carbs, new gaskets,and plugs,I didn't check the fuel pump ??

does that have a distributor or is it the power pack? I wonder if not the fuel pump you may have a power pack that is on its way out.

It has a magneto and power pac, no distributer, I didn't check timing either.. This engine doesn't have choke butterfly either, It has a primer choke on it . (update 9-30)- I rechecked the fuel filter and noticed that the rubber gasket wouldn't go back in, it was bigger then the cover ,where the fuel filter screen is .. I wonder if It was sucking air, but it wasn't dripping gas. I also noticed before that the primer bulb would get hard then lose its prime .. Now it stays hard with the new gasket installed ?? I'm looking for the easy way out ,to get it to run
