I need to buy some new control cables fo my '69 800
I've looked at the 600a cables, and they will work. But I saw some similar cables called Gen1. Are Gen1 cables just an up grade of the 600a? I also have one tight bend to make would these work better?Opinons Please :)

Some member/owner here probably has cables in the store room they don't need.

Oldboater,
I have a LOT of good used and some NOS control cables that will work on the '69 800 4cyl with the square black single lever control box.
If you have a sharp corner to bend the control calbes through perhaps we can discuss it and find a better way to route the cables to avoid that problem.
Write direct if you are interested.

Thanks for the reply Guys!
Doc, I might need to take you up on that offer.

So, this is what I think I know, :P
The Teleflex 600A series, TEL-CC179 is compatible with my control box and motor.

What I'm not too sure about are these so called premium cables.

Quicksilver 897977A15 cable T/S-Premium-GEN 1
or
Teleflex TfXtreme CCX179 Premium Control Cable

Do you guys think either of these would work as a direct replacement?

Can they make tighter bends?

Anyone had any experience with either of these?

Are they worth the extra money?

Thanks again for the help!
