i just got my 500 back together tonite and it fired up and runs great. just a few other things to do and it is lake test time. my thanks go out to mark smith, for help with the starter, and many thanks to dave bernard for all the help with the mag, your instructions lead me to the problem, and i was able to fix it. thanks to you both... much appreciated. frog
