TOPIC: Looking for vintage Merc shop in Naperville, IL

Looking for vintage Merc shop in Naperville, IL 14 years 1 month ago #28304

I lost the contact info for a gentleman in Naperville, IL who repairs vintage Mercs. I have two Mercs that need repair. A 1960 45hp and a 1961 70hp. The 45 is pretty much restored but does not run reliably and I think the controls also need some work. The 70hp runs but the lower unit needs a rebuild as it was full of water when I pulled the plug after I bought it. Any help would be appreciated. My email is tmor51@yahoo.com Thanks!

That Funliner looks like a great cruiser. You might try these folks.

That's who I was thinking of CD, Darrell. That's his website, and Here's his profile page. (You can email him straight from there or the website, I believe.)

That's the place! I was off a bit on the location. Thanks so much. The AristoCraft needs some work, new floor and gel coat repair. I hope to have it in the water this summer. Here's a shot of my other boat. 65 Arkansas Traveler with the Merc 45. It was my Dad's boat and I restored it after he passed away. Thanks a million for your help.
