Need some help gett l/u off. Removed nut top front, loosened 2 nuts between the fins removed the 2 nuts under the fin and took off the small fin and removed bolt from under there. Am I missing something??

One on aft from top, under the plastic plug? (Allen head bolt, can't remember what size.)

That's what I missed on my mark78 but this 1 that is the spot the small fin came from. nothing else there.

Sounds like you removed all the bolts and nuts. I just went through this a few weeks ago and although I had no problems taking mine off Thom sent me a tip that I hope I can attach. Basically you stack washers on the two forward nuts that are facing up at the power head on either side of the LU.As you remove the nuts evenly the washers start to force the LU away from the upper leg.

This model had the bolt ,not allen. The washer tip sounds good will give that a shot. Thx, Joe

Thx for the washer tip, it worked well. Got the transom clamp and tilt hoses off and all the top cowling stuff. Sunny and 80 here and going to take a break and patake in some Mardi Gras festivities. 80's again tomorrow, think I'll be out on the Owens.
