I'm seriously getting annoyed now. Here are the diagrams I have:
Stock harness

Aftermarket engine harness ( one on the left)

My question is, if I hook the brown wire and orange wire together on the after market harness at the switch box, is it the same thing as if it were jumped as in the stock harness? I'm pretty sure this is why I'm not getting spark. Right now the brown wire and white wire in the aftermarket harness aren't hooked to anything. Please let me know if this is not clear.

If you hook the ground from the coil to ground switch box and green from coil to bottom stud switch box. from driver red to top and the other 2 color to color. and it will spark if all 3 parts are good . I have all 3 parts in working order if needed. $50.00 plus shipping.

All wires are where they should be. New wiring harness and control box as well as coil wires. Coils test good. The only smoking gun is that brown wire.

with the external harness off and rectifier yellow wires disconnected so the rectifier wont be damaged spin the mag drive and it will spark no battery needed on the lightning energizer ignition. 1 914 310 7086.

That is a very good system, very reliable. If you have isolated the stop circuit and there is still no spark, check all the grounds. If all is good, refer to your manual for the driver coil specs, and the ignition coil specs and check them against what you have. You DO have the manual, correct? Chances are the switchbox is bad, but you have to eliminate all the other suspects first.

Sorry all, I have disconnected the Mercury switch as the wiring was totally corroded. The switch box is new. Still no spark, coils still test fine. I've been looking through the manual and following it to a T.
