So....my LU on the Mark 55 isn't very healthy...well, it is actually dead. I'd like to take the LU from the 300 and put it on the 55. The only difference I can see is that the lug bolts on each side that hold the LU to the midsection are a little bigger on the 300 than the 55. Can I just bore the holes larger and go with that?

(I've put my "hot wiring" activities, discussed in the other thread, on hold because I'm worried about starting it and not being able to quickly shut it down. I remember how they take off screaming if there is no LU attached)

But, if I were to just drill out the midsection of the 55 to accommodate the large stud of the 300 LU, would everything thing else be ok?
Thanks
Tim

Thanks Dave. I wasn't initially comprehending that the problem was also with the clearance of the nuts. Joe has been in contact with me and I'll order a set of stud from him.
Thanks again for your help.
