My 78 merc power trim is acting up. I've had to replace the power leads from the battery (was a significant issue last time out).
Current issue is more of an inconvenience. The normally closed limit switch doesn't work. My choice is to either fix it, or bypass it. Can this be removed with the motor on the boat, or should I hi us bypass and call it good?

My PowerCat has merc power trim on both the '62 1000 motors. Neither have the trim switch connected. Have not had a problem.
