I still have to make some adjustments, but it is on there. All my steering gear is too short so will need a new one. Not planning on running this one this year, but it will be hard not to once it is rigged up.

Make sure you run that engine for a bit before you spend any money on it. They are known for issues with cylinder bore wear which is expensive to set right.

I got the engine free and have about $255 in it at this point 130# +or- 3 compression. I don't intend to spend any more until I run it some though. May not get in the water this summer but would like to get it out once if

Thats not bad. Trick is to see if it will idle, if it does you should be good to go.

I think I got the better carbs on it. Just one float chamber per carb. I fired it up with my duel hose ears last week for a few min. When I get the controls hooked up in a couple of weeks, I will run it in the barrel so I can warm it up and see what I get on the idle.

1948 Orlando Clipper 17'. I picked it up for just a few bucks. Someone had pulled the aluminum deck off and put a wood deck with wood windshield frame on it. It was rotten. I liked the idea though. It has all new white oak on it now with light weight redwood framing. New aluminum and bonded plywood transom installed. Had it out last year twice. Going to build the wood seat frames this summer.
