TOPIC: Small lot of Merc

Happen to meet a guy with about 20 old merc lots of mark 55.I for sure buying 2 a red and white one and a green and grey one also a small 6 hp.but still even him doesn't have the connection for my other motor.

So I bought 3 motor 2 mark 55 and my favorite a small little thing mark 6a a kicker for my delmar boat.For the 6a what I really like is to take the power head of and paint it and clean the rest of the parts inside then do the paint job on the outside.how hard is it to take the power head out and how can I do it?or should I just leave it alone and just paint the outside only .

That tell you how much I know about engine. I wonder where i get mark 55 from One of them said 58 a on it too.Thanks guy

That mark 50 is a collectable did not have decals and the crown on the faceplate is hard to come by. from what I can see everything is correct.

They look great i wouldnt paint them, can you just touch up the chips, take it and get color match since it wont be OE anymore

Not that bad all for $1000 with controlled and extra part and 2 emblems.The best thing is it all ran Great.I trust buying from this guy cause he know about merc and restore them.then again I'm a sucker when it come to this kind of stuff.the hardest thing is to tell my wife why I buy thing that I don't know about.hihihi
